24-Hour Emergency Department
Our 24-hour Emergency Department serves more than 27,000 patients a year and is staffed by board certified emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses.

With patient satisfaction scores leading the nation in the 99th percentile, our healthcare team provides high quality, compassionate healthcare in a timely manner!

The Emergency Department team coordinates care with a variety of medical specialists, including Cardiologists, Pulmonologists, Neurosurgeons, Ophthalmologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Internal Medicine physicians, Urologists, Radiologists, Gastroenterologists, General Surgeons, Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Pediatricians, Plastic Surgeons, Podiatrists, and Ear, Nose, and Throat physicians.

The facility is a 16-bed state-of-the-art emergency center that features centrally located stations for nurses and physicians designed so that all patient rooms are visible to staff at all times. The Emergency Department grew from 8 beds to 16 beds as a result of a $2.2 million expansion in 2003. Part of the expansion included the addition of two new isolation rooms and larger work stations for doctors and nurses.

Comprehensive diagnostic and imaging services are available 24-hours a day, including a 64-Slice CT scan, MRI services, lab work, x-rays, and much more. Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is a fully digital facility, meaning all documentation is computerized to improve efficiency and better serve our patients.
