The Emerald Coast Radiation Oncology Center offers a full range of cancer treatments and brings the latest advances in radiation therapy to the Emerald Coast. The cancer center is equipped with a state-of-the-art Varian Linear Accelerator 2100SC, a Varian Acuity Simulator, and a digital CT scanner for early diagnosis and treatment planning.
This technology, coupled with a 3D conformal treatment planning system, provides the latest treatment modality called Intense Modified Radiation Therapy (IMRT). IMRT is an advanced mode of high precision radiotherapy that utilizes a computer controlled linear accelerator to deliver precise radiation doses with minimal side effects to normal tissues and organs.
The cancer center is staffed by board certified radiation oncologists Dr. Gerald Lowrey and Dr. Rod Krentel in addition to caring and experienced team members who are always available to provide comfort and information to patients and their families.
The cancer center is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Mack Bayou Road in Miramar Beach in the Medical Office Building at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, Suite 140. There are assigned parking spaced provided at the rear of the building within a few easy steps of the clinic.
