Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast is a 58-bed hospital located east of Destin in Walton County. Since opening its doors to patient care in January 2003, the not-for-profit hospital has grown steadily and continues to fulfill its mission to improve the health of the community at large, with special attention to service of the poor.
The hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical services, including acute care, general and specialized surgery, cardiac diagnostics, joint replacement program, cancer care, comprehensive radiology and laboratory services, rehabilitation, as well as 24-hour emergency care. Our newest additions provide comprehensive care to women of all ages, featuring the Olson Women's Diagnostic Center and the Family Birth Place.
With over 95 physicians on staff, Sacred Heart continually recruits high quality physicians to the area, including specialists for lung diseases, urological problems, allergies, ear, nose and throat surgery, eye diseases, heart disorders, women’s and children’s health, interventional radiology and vascular surgery. Our healthcare team would not be complete without the addition of over 200 community volunteers who add a special touch to everyone they meet.
Our highly trained physicians and staff are dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to all, and our patient satisfaction scores consistently rank over 90%. The hospital’s next initiative is the expansion of Heart & Vascular Services.
