MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – During this special holiday season of caring and sharing, Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast worked with the Salvation Army of Okaloosa and Walton counties to provide a brighter Christmas for 110 local children. From clothing to toys to bicycles and more, Sacred Heart’s associates and physicians fulfilled numerous wish lists for children needing extra assistance this holiday season during the hospital’s annual Christmas Angel Drive.
“The annual Christmas Angel Drive is part of our mission at Sacred Heart to help those in need and make a difference in our community,” said Kathy Ault, director of mission integration and pastoral care at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast. “The compassion and generosity displayed by our healthcare team never ceases to amaze me -- surely there are angels among us.”
The Salvation Army will distribute the toys to the designated families prior to Christmas. For more information about Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, visit www.sacredheartemerald.org.
