MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. – Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation, which is conducted by board-certified physicians and medical experts. The ACR focuses on the practice of medical imaging, radiation oncology, and the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services.

“Due to our focus on providing high quality care, we now have accreditation for mammography and MRI services, and we look forward to the successful accreditation of our other modalities in the very near future,” said Art Schnitzer, radiology manager at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.
